My first time blogging

I have decided that since I am continually forgetting just about everything (including that I am turning 40 in approx. 9 months---maybe that is a coincidence that I don't want to remember that little bit of information about myself)...that I need to start a blog.  Not for anyone else, but for myself.  I want to remember what life was like in this "season" of raising my four girls, Makenna Isabella (12), Madison Emmalee (9), Maya Brooklynn (5) and Maliyah Grace (3).
I wish I would've started this long ago when my first born Makenna was a baby because I have now forgotten many details and only remember bits and pieces of her childhood.  The same goes for the rest of my girls.  I can't see to stay caught up with scrapbooking so I decided to help myself out when I do get a chance to scrapbook again, I would start blogging about our family and what we are doing.  I guess I really want this not only for myself, but also for my girls when they are older.  You see, I am a third born, the baby of the family that was a "surprise".  My sister, Tami is 15 years older than me and my brother, Mark is ten years older than me.  So, by the time I was in Kindergarten, my sister was out of the house and married (I was her flower girl in the wedding) and my brother was a senior in high school.  Most of my memories growing up were as an only child.  I wasn't of course, but it felt like it since everyone was out of the house for most of my childhood.  Because I was the third born, there is little that was written in my baby book- if I remember correctly, it was my birthdate, the doctor who delivered me (like THAT was important) and maybe my first immunizations.   I think I may have also had some cards from the flowers that my mom received at the hospital and maybe even my wristbands that were taped carefully with scotch tape.  Our poor moms back then had no idea that their precious memories were going to end up yellow and crusty because they did not use something called "acid free tape" I would tease my mom saying, "When I have kids I am writing everything down!" So here I am now with what I hope to be my first blog of many.  Needless to say I have little time to write blogs (it is 12:30a.m right now and I have to be up and ready to do carpool at 7am), but I am going to try.  It is one of my more important New Years resolutions.  So there you have it, my first time blogging.  I hope that I can keep this up....
